Integrated Care University
Each year since the year 2000 the Julius Centre, University Medical Centre Utrecht, The Netherlands co-hosts and co-organizes the annual conference of the International Network of Integrated Care(INIC). On March 31st – April 2nd 2011 the INIC conference will be organized in Odense, Denmark. The aim of INIC11 congress is to exchange knowledge, experiences and new ideas and projects in the multifaceted field of integrated care.
For the INIC11 congress we invite PhD-students to discuss their work in six special presentation sessions, called the Integrated Care University. The focus of interest of the 2011 INIC Integrated care University will be methods of research in integrated care. In each of these sessions we provide two PhD-students with the opportunity to present their work to (at least two) professors or other established names in the field of integrated care. Also present at these sessions will be their colleague-PhD’s as well as other interested colleagues from the field of integrated care.
Therefore we welcome PhD-students to submit work in different stages of development to present and have it discussed among peers and experienced others. Submissions preferably do not include completed papers. We very much welcomed PhD-students to submit work in progress, because focus of the sessions/discussions is placed upon methodological aspects of their work. We feel that the discussions can be optimally beneficial when the lessons learned can still be included in the current project(s) of the PhD’s. Completed papers and projects cannot benefit as much from the discussions. Suggestions for submissions can include concepts of methodology or result analyses of research projects to discuss, but also suggestions to discuss practical issues that PhD-students deal with in their work.
We would wish to kindly ask of you to send this invitation to PhD-students in your network that are affiliated with integrated care. The costs to attend the INIC11 and the Integrated Care University for selected PhD-students are 200 Euro per person, which is a 50% reduction in comparison to normal attending fees. A total of 12 PhD-presenters will be selected for this event.
